Collingham and Linton Sports Association

Collingham and Linton Sports Association (CALSA) exists to provide playing and participating opportunities for cricket, football, squash and other sporting activities for the inhabitants of Collingham, Linton and the neighbouring areas.

Members of the cricket, football and squash sections are automatically members of CALSA, which is owned by its membership and managed by an elected committee of representatives from the sports sections. Opened in 1972, the current Clubhouse is situated on the Harewood Road adjacent to the Cricket and Football pitches.

We have a great tradition and heritage of sporting excellence dating back to the original cricket club of the 1880's.

There are now three full sporting sections and two further affiliated sports clubs. For more details on any of them click on the name below:

The licenced bar area of the Clubhouse has recently been refurbished and is a great family venue. We have a large lounge and a selection of John Smiths' beers, wines and soft drinks served up by the friendly team under the control of the bar steward, Margaret Paterson.

Facilities include a pool table and Sky television channels. A large screen is available for use whenever there's a really popular event being screened.

The views from the lounge over the cricket and football pitches are superb and in the summer the first floor balcony is the ideal location for relaxing and watching the cricket team in action.

From the lounge area all three squash courts are visible and team matches on the glass-backed court often get a good audience.

The normal opening hours for the bar and lounge area are :

Monday to Friday           6-00 pm  to  11-00 pm
Saturday                     11-00 am  to  11-00 pm
Sunday                       12-00 pm  to  10-30 pm

The Clubhouse is available for hire for special events. Disco's are welcome and the club has been the host to birthdays, christenings, weddings and  wakes.

There are dividers available to separate off areas for smaller gatherings and wifi broadband is installed to enable meetings to operate with online access. Contact Margaret Paterson on 01937 572207 during opening hours for further details.

Collingham and Linton Sports Association welcomes all new residents and visitors. Social membership is available for local families at £36 for 3 years and application forms are available behind the bar. Should you wish to look round the club or discuss any aspect of the activities or facilities offered, please call 01937 572207 during opening hours to arrange a visit.
